What is this plugin?
Simple IPTV EPG is a lightweight, hybrid tool designed to solve the missing EPG problem on IPTV channels. It combines downloading XMLTV files from the internet with intelligent copying of EPG data from Satellite channels (if available).

International Support: Built-in, high-quality sources (.xml.gz) for UK, DE, IT, ES, FR, TR, PT, Nordic countries, and a Global mix.

Fast Mapper Engine: Completely rewritten mapping algorithm. It now maps thousands of channels in seconds using dictionary indexing.

Smart Linking (SAT <-> IPTV): If you have a Satellite channel (e.g., "BBC One HD") and an IPTV equivalent (e.g., "BBC One FHD HEVC"), the plugin automatically links them. It aggressively ignores junk tags like FHD, 4K, VIP, RAW, H.265 to find the best match.

Efficiency: Supports compressed files natively to save bandwidth.

Auto-Update: Background auto-update feature (every 24h) and in-app plugin updater.
How to use (Remote Control):
1. Open the plugin. Select your EPG Source using Left/Right arrows.
2. YELLOW Button (Map Channels) – Run this first or when your channel list changes. It creates a connection map between your IPTV list and the XML provider.
3. GREEN Button (Import EPG) – Downloads data, matches events, and injects them into the EPG Cache.
4. BLUE Button (Update) – Checks GitHub for a newer version of the plugin.
INSTALLATION
Method 1: Telnet (Recommended )
Connect to your tuner via Telnet/SSH (Putty) and paste the following command:
Method 2: Manual IPK
1. Download the enigma2-plugin-extensions-simpleiptvepg_1.2_all.ipk file.
2. Upload it to /tmp folder on your receiver via FTP.
3. Run command: opkg install /tmp/*.ipk (or use internal GUI installer).
4. Restart GUI.
