The Ducati rider crashes with 8 laps to go and complicates the chase for Jorge Martin who takes first place ahead of Marc Marquez and Enea Bastianini

A nightmare sprint race in Malaysia for Pecco Bagnaia. The Ducati rider , who started on pole with the track record , ended up on the ground with 8 laps to go. The sprint is over and it's a tough blow in terms of the world championship for the reigning champion with Jorge Martin taking first place ahead of Marc Marquez and Enea Bastianini. A fundamental success for the Spaniard who is getting closer to his big dream: if he manages to score 8 more points than Bagnaia in tomorrow's race he will be world champion with one GP to spare. Alex Marquez, Quartararo , Morbidelli, Binder, Miller, Acosta and Bezzecchi close out the top 10 of a sprint race that could prove decisive for the season.

"It was a beautiful day, but it was a difficult race because I was already in the 57, but Pecco and Marc were right behind. Then it was about controlling. I tried not to make mistakes and that's the same thing I'll try to do tomorrow in a GP that will be very important. Now all my prayers, my support and my thoughts go to Valencia" , the words of Jorge Martin, first at the end of the Sprint Race of the MotoGP of Sepang and, thanks to Pecco Bagnaia's fall, now one step away from becoming world champion.
