Pecco Bagnaia wins the Malaysian GP! The reigning world champion crosses the finish line ahead of title contender Jorge Martin and teammate Enea Bastianini , thus winning the penultimate round of the world championship. The final round in Valencia has been cancelled, meaning the championship will be decided in Barcelona: Bagnaia is now 24 points behind his Spanish rival. A GP that saw a group crash at the start caused by contact between Binder and Quartararo , forcing the red flag to be displayed to allow Jack Miller to receive medical attention . Binder suffered a shoulder contusion. The race then resumed with 19 laps remaining. Joan Mir , Franco Morbidelli and Marc Marquez also crashed (finishing 12th).
